Red, White & Blue Jello Poke Cake
Happy 4th of July everyone! (A little late, but some good inspiration 😁) For the special day we decided to make a Jello Poke Cake! Once you cut into this cake, there’s a colorful surprise. 🔴⚪️🔵
Ingredients:
- Boxed White Cake Mix or our Moist Vanilla Cake Recipe
- 1 pack berry berry Jello (blue color)
- 1 pack strawberry Jello (red color)
- 2 containers cool whip
- Festive sprinkles (optional)
- Start by preparing your cake. Follow all box directions or click our link above for our white cake recipe.
- After the batter is prepared, pour it into a 9×13 pan and bake according to your directions.

3. After it’s baked, let cool fully before adding Jello.
While the cake is cooling, let’s make the jello! (Measurements are on the jello box)
4. In a small pot, bring your hot water to a boil, then add in the gelatin mix. Stir until dissolved.
5. Then add in your cold water and stir.
6. Add your liquid gelatin mixture to a pourable glass and set aside. (Do steps 4-6 for both colors)

7. Now that the cake is cooled, use the end of a spatula or something round to poke holes in your cake.

8. Then, slowly pour each color of jello into the cake holes fully and you can check the bottom to see the colors.

9. Now, just add your cool whip on top and spread evenly. Decorate with sprinkles and store in the fridge!
Ta-da!
