Tips & More

Peace out, 2020!

This year has been rough in so many ways, but also a blessing in many others. This was the best year yet for the blog and all of that is because of people like you! There were definitely some baking fails, but some amazing ones too.

I don’t know about you, but I’m pretty sure we’re all ready for this year to be over. However, a lot of great things have come out of this wonderful time.

  • Our recipes were featured in a few different brands like Taste of Home, Karo Corn Syrup, Organic Valley, Bob’s Red Mill…
  • We posted waaaay more recipes this year than ever – 71 in fact.
  • We started our first live baking workshops via Instagram.
  • This year we had way more catering orders than ever! Thank you to everyone who supports local businesses. 🥰
  • Our photography game has amped up 10x. I mean just look at some of those old photos… gross. Thank you @foodtographyschool
  • Being home and doing school online has given me a lot of extra time to bake and create for peeps like you.
  • Our social platforms have increased tons this year and hopefully more next year.

With all the bad that happened, there was a lot of great things. What are some of your accomplishments from this year?

Whole Lotta Ingredients

Like I said earlier there was a lot more baking this year than the last and that’s not bad. I decided to count up some of the materials I used this year and put them in a list. It’s shocking, I know!

  • Butter Used: 118 sticks
  • Flour Used: 156 cups
  • Eggs Used: 131 eggs

You can imagine how many more ingredients I used this entire year!
